When Taiwan needed a vaccine, our people led the way.
Vaccines are where SBC began. For decades, we developed, produced and registered vaccines for animal health companies around the world.
In 2020, the world needed a vaccine against COVID-19, and Taiwan needed its own. Our people participated in the program, from the first agreement to national approval.
The Taiwan local vaccine was developed in collaboration with the US National Institutes of Health and received emergency use authorization in Taiwan in 2021. The World Health Organization later selected it for its Solidarity Trial Vaccines, due to its safety, efficacy and excellence.
Real-world studies later showed that it was one of the most efficient vaccines at protecting people, even when pitted against the leading vaccines in the world.
